“Brigham Young University learned today of the arrest of Parker Kingston,” the university said. “The university takes any allegations very seriously and will cooperate with law enforcement. Due to federal and university privacy laws and student practices, the university will not be able to provide additional comment.”

Kingston becomes the second BYU football player to face rape charges in the past year. In May 2025, former quarterback Jake Retzlaff was accused of rape in a civil lawsuit, which was subsequently dismissed with prejudice this summer. After the lawsuit was dismissed, Retzlaff transferred to Tulane University.
