The Mavericks started the game without the injured Anthony Davis and lost coach Jason Kidd midway through the first quarter when he was ejected for arguing with referee Scott Foster.
Ryan Nembhard scored 16 points and 6 assists for the Mavericks. Rookie star Cooper Flagg made 4 of 13 shots and only scored 11 points and 1 rebound.
Dallas has lost two in a row after winning two in a row. Davis suffered a ligament injury in his left hand during the Mavericks’ loss to Utah on Thursday.
Kidd seemed angry that he wasn’t allowed to challenge the goalie call on Max Christie. Foster called two technical fouls and ejected Kidd.
