The 2025 NFL Draft class is proving to be an impactful class for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. General manager Jason Licht had a few hits, but none bigger than Emeka Egbuka when it comes to rookie-level offense. He had a few key moments during the season and the team had its ups and downs, but he solidified himself as a cornerstone of the roster.
As a result, the Associated Press named Emeka Egbuka a finalist for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The most important part of his rookie season, though, may be his emergence as quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Other finalists include:
-
TreVeyon Henderson, running back, New England Patriots
-
Tyler Shough, quarterback, New Orleans Saints
-
Te’Taroyah McMillon, wide receiver, Carolina Panthers
Emeka Egbuka finished with 63 receptions on 127 targets and 938 receiving yards. He also added six touchdowns to his total, including a game-winning touchdown in Week 1 on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. He made his presence felt right away and looks like he could be the next leader of this receiving unit after Mike Evans retires.
