If you’ve ever taken a long trip through the South, there’s a good chance you’ve stopped at, passed by, or at least seen a Buc-ee’s billboard. This is one of the most popular sites for visitors of all ages.
Georgians don’t have many options for visiting Buc-ee’s, but we’re working on it.
Is there a new Buc-ee’s in Georgia? Where will it be?
A new Buc-ee’s is being developed on Rumble Road in west-central Georgia off Interstate 75 in Monroe County, about halfway between Atlanta and Macon. As of last fall, it was expected to be completed by March 2027.
Recently, another Buc-ee’s was announced in Jasper County, in Hardeeville, about 25 minutes from the Savannah area along Interstate 95. It will occupy 46 acres within the larger Hardee Station development at Exit 8 of Interstate 95 and the intersection of U.S. Highways 278 and 17.
Once completed, it’s only 20-30 miles from the Savannah area, depending on where you live. Currently, the closest location is in Brunswick, more than 60 miles away.
Buc-ee’s Eyes Jasper County Hardeeville
The Hardeeville Buc-ee’s location in Jasper County is expected to include dozens of fuel pumps and electric vehicle charging stations to serve both traditional and eco-friendly travelers. According to multiple media reports, key features include a bicycle plaza and several scenic ponds to enhance the visitor experience.

When is the groundbreaking for the Hardeeville Buc-ee’s?
Construction on the new Buc-ee’s in Hardeeville is expected to begin in early 2026. Hardeeville City Manager Josh Gruber said the town’s goal is to meet the needs of residents.
“Basically, what this means is that residents are able to go to the grocery store, eat out, enjoy retail and entertainment opportunities, all of those needs can be met and do it within the city of Hardeeville without having to drive somewhere else outside of the city,” Gruber told WJCL.
When will Buc-ee’s in Hardeeville open?
The expected completion date is 2031, according to Buc-ee.
What stores will Buc-ee’s open in 2026?
According to USA Today, the following Buc-ee’s stores will open in 2026.

There are currently three Georgia Buc-ee’s open in Brunswick, Calhoun and Warner Robins. South Carolina also has one in Florence.
Buc-ee’s careers and salary levels
Buc-ee’s salary depends on position. But cashiers, grocery store assistants, gift assistants, and janitorial/janitorial and maintenance attendants all earn $18.
