The Denver Broncos acquired wide receiver Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday in a trade that shows they are serious about improving their offense.
The Broncos will receive Waddle and a 2026 fourth-round pick. In return, Miami will receive Denver’s 2026 first-round pick, the 30th overall pick, as well as third- and fourth-round picks.

Waddle recently finished the 2025 season with 910 yards and six touchdowns. He caught balls from Tua Tagovailoa and rookie Quinn Ewers, who made three starts and finished the game 1-2. The Denver Nuggets ended up as the top seed in the AFC but still had issues moving the ball consistently. Waddell solved the problem.

Many fans believe Waddle is already the best receiver on the roster, but he gave a different answer when reporters asked him that question on Wednesday, according to NFL.com.

“I don’t think there’s a No. 1, everyone’s here to play a role and try to win,” Waddell said. “That’s the ultimate goal of the team and the organization.”
“I think I just bring another playmaker to the team. Someone who can help out and try to make the difference that I can,” he added. “I think it’s going to be a fun group.
