The Denver Broncos have acquired standout wide receiver Jalen Waddle in a blockbuster deal that sends three draft picks, including a first-round pick, to the Miami Dolphins, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal has not been announced. The Dolphins will receive the 30th overall pick in next month’s NFL draft as well as third- and fourth-round picks. Denver will receive Miami’s fourth-round pick along with Waddle.

Waddle, along with Courtland Sutton, gives Bo Nix another major target and improves a passing attack that ranked 11th in the NFL last season.
The Broncos were the top seed in the AFC last season but lost to New England in the AFC Championship Game without Nix, who suffered a broken ankle in the divisional round against Buffalo.
Waddle, a 2021 first-round pick, started his career with three straight 1,000-yard seasons but hasn’t reached that total since 2023.
Waddle, 27, averaged 81 catches for 1,098 yards and six touchdowns in his five-year career.
