There’s good news on the injury front ahead of the Denver Broncos’ Week 15 showdown with the Green Bay Packers.
In addition to tight end/linebacker Nate Adkins (knee) and defensive lineman DJ Jones (ankle) returning to practice Wednesday, left guard Ben Bowles (bicep) also returned to the field. Bowles, who has been on injured reserve for the past two months, now has 21 days to return from IR after returning to practice.

If Bowles is not activated to the 53-man roster within three weeks, he will revert to IR for the remainder of the season. Bowles is the fifth player the Broncos have designated to return from IR this year, out of a cap limit of eight players.
Other players who could return from IR this season include linebacker Drew Sanders (foot), tight end Lucas Krul (foot) and running back JK Dobbins (foot), who have been designated to return. If Denver makes it to the Super Bowl, Dobbins could return.
Back to the offensive line: Alex Palczewski has done a good job filling in for Bowles, but Bowles will likely step back into the starting role once healthy. This will likely return “Palcho” to a big role, where he will be the team’s top backup tackle and linebacker.
