Brewers prospect Andrew Fischer belts walk-off HR for Timber Rattlers

Andrew Fischer, the Milwaukee Brewers’ 2025 No. 1 overall pick, hit a two-run homer to cap a three-run 10th inning for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on May 1 in Grand Chute and earn a win for the Brewers’ Senior Class A affiliate.

Fisher is the fifth-ranked prospect in the organization, with five homers in six games and an OPS of .945, according to MLB Pipeline.

Wisconsin lost two runs to the Quad City Bandits in the first half of the 10th, but Josh Adamczewski (the No. 10 pick) got one back on a sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the 10th. After Marco Dinges (the No. 9 pick) was hit by a pitch, Fisher sent a high outside fastball from pitcher LP Langevin over the center wall of Fox Cities Stadium.

It was a rough night for Fisher, who struck out four and then sparked the game-deciding celebration.

The game was another showcase for attractive pitcher Braylon Owens, who went six innings in relief, allowing one run on two hits, walking three and striking out 11 times. Owens, a 10th-round pick in the same draft as Fisher, allowed just one hit and no runs in five innings with six strikeouts in his last game on April 24.
