Brewers 2026 schedule dates to know: Spring training, home opener

The Milwaukee Brewers have a chance to make history this season.

Never before has a team won four consecutive National League Central Division titles, and that’s something the Brewers will try to do when they begin spring training at American Family Field in Phoenix in the coming days.

The Houston Astros (1997-1999) and the St. Louis Cardinals (2004-2006, 2013-2015) are the only other two teams to win three consecutive Central Division titles since baseball was reorganized in 1994.

The Milwaukee Bucks, who set a franchise record with 97 regular-season wins and advanced to the National League Championship Series only to be swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2025, return with their roster mostly intact.

Pitching and defense are strengths again; can the offense replicate its performance despite not making any meaningful additions?

The competition in Central is much tighter than it has been in past seasons.

The Chicago Cubs lost star outfielder Kyle Tucker in the National League Division Series in five games to the Brewers, but they remain a strong team after signing free agent third baseman Alex Bregman to a five-year, $175 million contract, trading Miami Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera and ace left-hander Justin Steele as he recovers from Tommy John surgery earlier this year.

The Cincinnati Reds are in the playoffs for the first time since 2020 and have one of the best starting rotations in baseball. Even the Pittsburgh Pirates had a surprisingly active offseason, making some moves to improve their abysmal offense (trading for Brandon Lowe, signing Ryan O’Hearn) in hopes of better utilizing a stellar pitching staff led by NL Cy Young Award winner Paul Skenes.

Only the Cardinals, who have begun a full rebuild, are expected to take a step back.

With that background, here’s what you need to know about the Brewers’ 2026 spring training.
