ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Braves shortstop Kim Ha Sung He is expected to miss four to five months after undergoing surgery on Sunday to repair a torn tendon in his right middle finger.
The Warriors said Kim was injured in his native South Korea. The team announced the news on Sunday, about a month after King agreed to a one-year, $20 million contract with Atlanta.

The signing is expected to address a major offseason need, and the loss of King for at least part of the season once again requires the team to rework its plans at starting shortstop. The five-month recovery period could keep Kim out until late June.
