The Atlanta Braves made a small move on Tuesday, adding infielder Dominic Smith to a non-roster invite to spring training. Smith, 30, spent the 2025 season in San Francisco, where he appeared in 63 games. He spent most of his time at first base, but also appeared in right field and briefly played a DH role.
He made his debut with the New York Mets in 2017 and spent most of his innings in the outfield during his early career.

It’s an under-the-radar addition for Atlanta, but Smith gives the Braves another veteran option in training camp and a potential source of depth if he impresses this spring.
