Bonny to represent Ivory Coast, but Inter issue rules him out of Scotland friendly

Inter Milan striker Ange-Jan Bonny has decided to feature for the Ivory Coast national team, but will be unable to participate in friendly matches against South Korea and Scotland later this month due to a “dental problem”.

Coach Émerse Faé confirmed at a press conference that 22-year-old Inter Milan forward Bonny will represent the Ivory Coast national team (via SOS Fanta).

Bonny was born in Aubervilliers, a suburb of Paris, and is of Ivorian descent.

Bonny has represented France at U19, U20 and U21 level, but will continue his international career with the African national team.

However, Bonny will be unavailable for the next two friendlies against South Korea and Scotland during the March break later this month.

“He has dental problems at the moment so we would rather keep him at the club so he can get fully fit, maintain performance consistency and join us at a later stage,” Fee said.
