Bomb threat reported on JetBlue flight from Boston to Florida, according to authorities

A bomb threat was received on a JetBlue flight from Boston’s Logan Airport to Vero Beach, Florida, on Saturday afternoon.

Video sent to Boston on the 25th showed a K-9 dog sniffing an airplane.

Customers sat on the tarmac for nearly three hours while authorities investigated the threat.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement apologized to the passengers on the plane and explained to them that although the threat was not “feasible,” they still had to take necessary precautions.

JetBlue said in a statement that the flight from Boston to Vero Beach taxied to a remote area after landing due to a possible security threat.

Law enforcement intercepted the flight and cleared the aircraft. The safety of our passengers and crew is JetBlue’s top priority. Further questions should be directed to law enforcement.

Boston 25 also contacted Massachusetts State Police.
