Boil water advisory issued in three KC area cities Sunday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A boil water advisory was issued for three cities in the Kansas City area on Sunday.

The city of Buckner says Buckner, Levossie and Sibley are all currently under a boil advisory.

Kansas City International Airport lifts evacuation after ‘threat’ reported

Water samples will be sent to the Independence City Laboratory Monday morning. According to the city, these test results typically take 12 to 24 hours to return.

Once tests show the water is negative for coliform bacteria, the advisory will be lifted.

Water users should boil water for three minutes for drinking and cooking and stop using ice machines until further notice.
