Bo Nickal eyes Colby Covington at White House: ‘Man up and take your beating’

Bo Nikal hopes to settle with Colby Covington at the UFC’s upcoming historic event.

Covington (17-5 MMA, 12-5 UFC) started the brawl when he targeted Nickell at the RAF 5 press conference, where both athletes were scheduled to fight their respective opponents. Covington claimed that Nickell killed wrestling because of his lack of personality.

Both fighters are under the UFC umbrella, and Nickell (8-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) said why not take matters into his own hands inside the Octagon — especially since Covington is seriously considering a move up to middleweight. But Nickell was unhappy after former interim welterweight champion Covington turned his attention to popular lightweight Paddy Pimblett.

“Colby badmouthed me and then said he wanted to move to 185. I said okay let’s fight in the White House. Now he wants to run away. What a coward. Man up and take your beating @ColbyCovMMA.”

After defeating Luke Rockhold in a wrestling match at RAF Five, Covington said he had no interest in competing with Nick on the mat or in the octagon. Covington has not fought since a December 2024 TKO loss to Joaquin Buckley. Meanwhile, Nickell bounced back from his first Octagon loss to Reinier De Ridder at UFC 322, knocking out Rodolfo Vieira with a head kick.
