“Just the count, my swing in the cage, getting in early, hitting BP with Chuck (Jeroman) and (Josh) Elander, it all helped me a lot,” Brown said after his first series with Tennessee.
Brown leads Rice in batting average (.292), slugging percentage (.493), hits (61), RBI (38), doubles (12), home runs (10), total bases (103) and multi-hit games (18) while tying for the lead in multi-RBI games as a freshman in 2025 (eight).
He became the first freshman to lead Rice in hits since 2009 and the eighth Owls freshman to hit 10 or more home runs.
