Pittsburgh Steelers fans may have a former player join their “Fire Tomlin” movement, as legend Ben Roethlisberger believes it’s time to “clean house” in the Steel City.
on tuesday’s show Footbahlin and Ben Roethlisberger During the podcast, the former Steelers quarterback shared his true feelings about a potential split between Pittsburgh and HC Mike Tomlin.

“Everyone here is talking about this, maybe it’s a clean house time,” Roethlisberger said. “Maybe it’s that. Maybe it’s time, and I like Coach Tomlin. I have a lot of respect for Coach Tomlin. But maybe it’s best for him as well. Maybe a fresh start is what’s best for him. Whether that’s in the pros — maybe, being the head coach at Penn State.”
Roethlisberger added that while the Steelers don’t necessarily have to fire Tomlin, they should come to an “understanding” and “agreement” for both sides to go their separate ways.
Big Ben does have a point, as an amicable breakup between the longest-tenured head coach and Pittsburgh might be best for both parties — even ESPN’s Adam Schefter said yesterday that the Steelers wouldn’t fire Tomlin outright.
