The future of the NBA is in good hands – and today’s game roster is Exhibit A, with Victor Wembanyama, Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel all on the roster.

Crafty veterans are also well represented, from LeBron James and Kevin Durant to James Harden and Klay Thompson, as well as my favorite NBA player props NBA draft picks take advantage of both talent pools.

Pillar #1: Klay Thompson makes over 2.5 3-pointers

bet365 +102

With the Dallas Mavericks on the injured list, Klay Thompson continues to be a key piece off the bench, having performed well in back-to-back games, shooting 12-for-23 from beyond the arc.

I took Klay with 2.5 triples today in Toronto. He’s been a lock on that backstop in five of the past seven games, and if Flagg (questionable) is ruled out, there will be more shooting opportunities.

Even at 36 years old, Thompson can still make teams pay on the perimeter, and he’s shooting 39% from three this season. He hit some clutch shots at Scotiabank Arena during his time with the Warriors, and he wasn’t shy about taking off from downtown.

Support #2: Victor Wembanyama over 24.5 points

bet365 of -110

Victor Wembanyama is off to a hot start in March, scoring 25 or more points in three of his past four games, including a 38-point masterpiece against the Pistons. Expect more Wimby magic tonight against the Rockets.

He scored 28 points for Houston in a game in late January and made four 3-pointers in back-to-back games to help the San Antonio Spurs stay in contention for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

Wimby shot 51 percent from the field at home, and his ability to shoot easily in the paint should help ease the burden on San Antonio defenders against the Houston Rockets’ perimeter pressure.

Pillar #3: Kon Knueppel over 18.5 points

bet365 of -110

Kon Knueppel is making a run for the Rookie of the Year trophy, scoring 27 points against the Heat on Friday. He’s made 21 3-pointers in his last five games, and I’m sure he’ll hit even more sharpshooters tonight in Phoenix.

It’s been a great ride for Knuupel, who has scored 20 or more points in six of his last eight games, and he’s found a way to be more efficient on the road, averaging 21.4 points per game away from Spectrum Center.

The Phoenix Suns’ tough defense has to be taken into account, but we’ve seen the Charlotte Hornets backcourt beat quality opponents in the standings.
