The Cincinnati Bengals made several roster changes ahead of their Week 17 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
There, the Bengals announced they were promoting defensive lineman Howard Cross III and cornerback Bralyn Lux from the practice squad to the active roster for this game.

Both players are standard-bearers for the Bengals, meaning they will return to the practice squad on Monday after the game.
Both are solid moves.

The Bengals had questions about the tags of cornerback Josh Newton and defensive lineman B.J. Hill before kickoff, so it makes sense from an injury standpoint.
With the playoffs out of reach, the Bengals are also in long-term evaluation mode. Both Kroos and Lux have a chance to prove they can stay on the roster until next summer and compete for 53 spots.
