Bayern Munich’s Max Eberl wants quick resolution with Dayot Upamecano contract

Bayern Munich Sporting Board Member Max Eberl has been involved in this game for a long time.

Eberl’s contract negotiations were quick and easy, but the negotiations were long and drawn out. For centre-back Dayot Upamecano, contact discussions have been long and drawn-out.

Eberl understands the game and how it works, but he still wants to see things resolved quickly.

“We have been talking for a while and have made good progress on one or two points. When something is to be announced, we will announce it. I can only say what we want to say: we are negotiating. We are discussing important decisions that the player has to make, decisions that we want him to make, in order to move forward with our plans. We want to finalize it as soon as possible. This is a big contract for Upa and a big moment in his career. We are pushing hard and then we will see how quickly we can get it done,” said Eberl (@iMiaSanMia capture).

Recent reports have been mixed. Bayern Munich representatives continue to express confidence, while other news suggests signing bonuses and release clauses remain obstacles.

Regardless, everyone seems to know that it will all open up in January, when other clubs can get direct access to Upamecano.
