Texas A&M kicked off the 2026 season with a sweep of Tennessee Tech last weekend. The Aggies defeated the Golden Eagles 15-6, 23-7 and 7-1. Caden Sorrell is off to a hot start this season, going 9-for-15 with three homers and 10 RBIs. Following up on the series sweep, the Aggies defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in midweek, defeating the Islanders 8-3.
Texas A&M looks to keep the momentum going this weekend by welcoming Payne to Olsen Field. The weekend series marks the Quakers’ first action of the season after going 21-20 (13-8) in conference play in 2025. While 25 years isn’t a high mark for Penn State, the program has enjoyed Ivy League success in three of the last four seasons, winning either the regular season or tournament title.
