Barcelona to challenge Liverpool for Van Dijk successor

Competition for Bastoni will be fierce, however, with transfer insider Matteo Moreto telling Spanish outlet Marca that Barcelona are vying for the Italian defender.
Moretto claimed that Barcelona made Bastoni a target this summer and made an offer of 70-80 million euros, which was a considerable discount to Bastoni’s offer. A record of €95 million previously reported.
The report also states that Inter Milan will try to sign a new contract with Bastoni, so any deal will not be easy for Liverpool or Barcelona.
