BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) – A deputy principal in the Baldwin County Public School System was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the Daphne Police Department.

Belforest Elementary School Assistant Principal Melissa Spriggs was arrested in the early morning hours of Nov. 23 near Daphne Elementary School, DPD officials said.

Spriggs was previously arrested for DUI on December 30, 2024. News 5 Already learned.
Spriggs was sentenced to 12 months probation for the 2024 arrest and ordered to attend classes, officials said.
Spriggs was serving probation until his arrest in November.

She has been placed on administrative leave by the school.
