A man was shot twice in the chest after an argument in Hesperia turned into gunfire early Thursday, authorities said.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department logs show the shooting occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 11 in the 12700 block of Main Street and is being investigated as an attempted murder.

“The victim and the suspect, an unidentified black male, were sitting in front of a tent when an argument occurred,” according to a statement from the Sheriff’s Department. “During the argument, the suspect stated that he wanted to shoot the victim. Seconds later, two gunshots were fired, striking the victim in the torso.”
The victim was shot twice in the chest and was flown by helicopter to a trauma center for treatment. There was no update on his condition and age.
No further details, including a suspect description, were released.
