Atalanta Bergamo will host Bayern Munich on Tuesday (March 10) in the first leg of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie.

The Bavarian club have enjoyed an impressive attacking display under Harry Kane this season and will be aiming for a positive result in their second leg away at the Allianz Arena.
Atalanta, as the last remaining Italian team at this stage, hopes to achieve good results with home advantage and fan support despite the absence of star forward Ademola Lookman.
It is worth noting that Bayern Munich has never played against Atalanta in an official European game before. Tuesday’s game will therefore mark the first continental meeting between the two teams.
Norwegian referee trio
UEFA appointed Norwegian referee Espen Eskos to officiate the match, assisted by his compatriots Jan-Erik Ngan and Isak Elias Bashevkin.

Sigurd Kringstad will serve as the fourth official and Dutchman Dennis Higler will be in charge of the VAR (Video Assistant Referee).
Date and start time
The first leg will be played in Bergamo on March 10, 2026 at 20:00 GMT, while the second leg is scheduled to be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich at the same time on March 18, 2026.
