At 93.8 percent, Cameron Dicker extends his lead over every other kicker in NFL history

Chargers kicker Cameron Dicker went 5-for-5 in Monday night’s win over the Eagles, extending his lead over everyone else in NFL history as the most accurate kicker the league has ever seen.

Dick made 122 of 130 field goal attempts and has a career field goal percentage of 93.8%, by far the best in NFL history.

In second place is Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, who is 103 of 114 and has a career field goal percentage of 90.4%. Aubrey’s numbers are good, but he’s already missed one more shot than Dick, but 19 fewer.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean Dick is the best kicker ever. Dick doesn’t display the same leg strength as Aubrey: Aubrey has 65 career carries and is 33-of-38 (86.8 percent) from 50 yards and beyond in his career. Dick has a career total of 59 yards and is 21-for-27 (77.8%) from 50 yards or more in his career.

Today’s NFL kickers are so much better than most kickers in NFL history that they are actually playing a different sport. Dick and Aubrey were playing with a consistency that fans had never seen before.
