Shrewsbury Town travel to Sutton United in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday, hoping to progress to the next round and potentially play a match against a Premier League side.

Arsenal loanee Ismail Kabia was included in the starting XI and for a while it was a frustrating game for the youngster. Sutton took a 1-0 lead through Kai Jennings and Shrewsbury reduced the deficit to 10 points after Josh Raffels was sent off in the 79th minute.
However, a moment of magic from Kabia saved his team’s hopes of promotion, scoring a brilliant goal in the 91st minute.

Kabia received the ball on the left side of the penalty area, cut inside the defender, and shot into the top corner. It was Kabia’s second goal for Shrewsbury, taking his tally to four in the last six games.
The goal took the game into extra time, but Sutton’s David Ogbonna was shown a red card to level things up.

Kabbia was substituted probably due to injury (the only blemish on his performance) and Shrewsbury led 2-1 early in extra time. Sutton were reduced to nine men with another red card and Shrewsbury saw the result and advanced.

Kabia may now face Arsenal in the next round, depending on the outcome of Monday night’s draw.
When asked if he would be eligible for the match against his parent club on TNT Sports, the player replied: “I think so. Just focus on the next league game and then go for it. Hopefully if we can play Arsenal in the next round that will be great.”

There was also good news on loan at Arsenal, with Camron Ismail making his first start and providing an assist for Uxbridge FC.
Although the Gunners have not loaned out many young players this season, the players who have been loaned out are generally playing regularly and playing well, which is encouraging.
