Mecklenburg County Commissioner Yvette Townsend Ingram (D) issued an outstanding warrant to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office, court records show.
The warrant stems from Ingram’s DUI arrest in 2024, when she was a candidate for the Mecklenburg County Commission.

Ingram pleaded guilty and as part of her plea, she was ordered to complete 24 hours of community service within 60 days, according to court records. A warrant was issued for Ingram’s arrest last February for “failure to comply with community service” and two initial charges of driving under the influence and open container, court records show.

Messages sent to Ingram’s campaign and commissioner email addresses were not returned. The Gaston County Sheriff’s Office declined to comment.
Ingram is running for re-election and is one of 10 candidates for the Mecklenburg County At-Large Committee.
