Ahead of the new league year, we’ll profile each player on the roster, reviewing their performance last season, their contract status and what they face in 2026.
Next up is wide receiver Michael Wilson.
Michael Wilson 2025 Season
After two good NFL seasons, Wilson broke out in 2025. When Marvin Harrison Jr. was sidelined with appendicitis and a heel injury, he stepped up and set career highs with 78 catches, 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. He caught a touchdown in his final five games and proved he could be a No. 1 receiver.
Michael Wilson contract status
Wilson is entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract. In 2026, he received a salary increase thanks to the proven performance pay escalator. His salary will be nearly $3.9 million through 2026, and his contract will count toward the salary cap of nearly $4.1 million.

He is now eligible for a contract extension. We’ll see if the Cardinals try to extend his current contract.
Michael Wilson’s offseason outlook
Wilson established himself as a true receiving threat. If he stays healthy, he and Harrison should give the Cardinals a strong receiving duo, plus tight end Trey McBride.
He might even replace Harrison as the team’s No. 1 “X” receiver. We’ll see as the season gets closer and they start competing in training camp.
