Arc Raiders Hits Over 300,000 Concurrent Players on Steam After Launch

Arc Raiders launches on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X on October 30, and the extraction shooter seems to be a hit. A few days after the game was released, the number of concurrent players on Steam exceeded 300,000. Although developer Embark Studios has yet to release sales figures, Arc Raiders also tops Steam’s best-selling list.

According to the SteamDB chart, the number of simultaneous online players for “Arc Raiders” reached a peak of 354,836 over the weekend. As of this writing, over 150,000 players have participated in the game. The escape shooter has made it into the top five most popular games on Steam over the past 24 hours, trailing only Battlefield 6.

“Arc Raiders” beats “Battlefield 6” to take the number one spot on the Steam bestseller list. The game is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, so the actual player count is likely to be much higher.

Arc Raiders post-launch roadmap

On the day of the release of “Arc Raider”, Embark Studios also detailed the game’s post-launch roadmap for 2025. The studio says subsequent updates will expand the game’s world, adding new Arc threats and new ways to play.

This month, the developer will add a fifth map to the extraction shooter called “Stella Montis.” As part of the November “Northern Line” update, players will also receive new community events, missions, weapons and other game items, as well as two new Arc machines.

Then in December, Embark Studios will roll out the “Cold Snap” update, adding snow to the map, new events, a new raider deck, and new missions. The studio also promises regular bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and balance adjustments based on player feedback.

“We’re so grateful that you’re on this journey with us, and we’ll continue to refine and grow the game based on your feedback. Keep an eye on the horizon. This is just the beginning for ARC Raiders,” the studio said in a roadmap update last week.

Arc Raiders is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X. technology shout’s playtest impressions of the game call it an “immersive” extraction shooter with the potential to be the next massively multiplayer game.
