Tim Cook confirmed via X that Apple plans to launch a slew of new hardware technologies starting on Monday, March 2.
Apple is expected to release a whole slew of new products, including a new low-cost MacBook, updated MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iPhone 17e.
Apple’s Tim Cook announced at X that the company will be doing some work starting on Monday, March 2. It’s expected to be a hardware announcement and reveal which journalists have received invitations.
“A big week is coming. It all starts on Monday morning! #AppleLaunch,” the post read.
Invitations were sent to journalists to attend a special event on March 4. Therefore, we expect an announcement to be made that week, most likely on Wednesday, March 4th.
Based on rumors and leaks so far, some hardware is expected to be released, including new and updated MacBook models as well as new iPhones.
So far, there are rumors of new low-cost MacBooks, updates to the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lines, and a new iPhone 17e.
The affordable MacBook is expected to cost between $600/$445 and $800/$595. A MacBook priced under $1,000/£1,000 could be just the thing to help bring Apple’s devices into the hands of more students around the world.
That’s despite rumors that Apple is cutting out some key features to lower the price, including ditching the TrueTone display, fast charging, and a backlit keyboard.

Apple is also expected to update MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with the latest M5, M5 Pro and M5 Pro Max chips.
Updated versions of budget iPhones such as the iPhone 17e are also expected to be launched. This likely won’t be a major upgrade, but will feature a new chip and add dynamic islands in place of the notch.
While the rumors continue, there may be more to come based on Tim Cook’s news. Hopefully we’ll see some iPad updates and maybe even a second-generation Studio Display showcased at the event. Despite high hopes for Apple Glass, launch may still be a long way off.
