The Golden Boy winner has often been flattered in a Manchester United shirt, but he did occasionally showcase his talents, particularly in the 2019-20 season when he formed a fantastic attacking trio with Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
Martial’s career was marred by injuries and he endured a poor loan spell at Sevilla before leaving the club in the summer of 2024.
He joined AEK Athens before leaving a year later to join Mexican side Monterrey, where he scored an extremely disappointing goal in 19 games.
recent setbacks
Compounding the attacker’s difficult start to life in Mexico, Martial suffered a serious injury.

The Sun reported that “Anthony Martial was taken off on a stretcher and taken to hospital after suffering a serious shoulder injury while playing for Monterrey.”
The striker dislocated his shoulder during the team’s 1-0 win over FC Leon.
The Mexican team issued a statement to update fans on the 30-year-old’s injury.
They said, “Monterrey Football Club reports that player Anthony Martial dislocated his right shoulder in the 6th round match against Leon. Anthony’s recovery prediction may change.”
Spend a lot of time on the sidelines
If Martial requires surgery, he could be out for three to six months. Even if he avoids surgery, it will still take him four to six weeks to recover.
