Bangladesh celebrated their historic Test series against Pakistan national cricket team in an emotional way, with the players singing the iconic victory song “Amra Korbo Joy” in the dressing room after the memorable victory.

Bangladesh created another landmark moment in the history of Test cricket as they defeated Pakistan by 78 runs in the second Test at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium to sweep them 2-0. The result also marked Bangladesh’s second consecutive Test series against Pakistan, underscoring the team’s growing confidence and consistency in the longest format of the format.

After a breakthrough win in the first Test, Bangladesh once again defeated Pakistan in the all-divisional match at Sylhet. Bangladesh’s official X account posted a post-match celebration video that perfectly captured the unity and emotion within the Bangladesh camp. Players gathered in the locker room singing “Amra Korbo Joy,” a song synonymous with hope, faith and victory.

Pakistan got off to a good start after electing to bat first, holding Bangladesh to 116/6 before Liton Das saved the innings with a gorgeous counter-attack century to guide the hosts to 278. Khurram Shahzad led the way with four wickets.

In response, Pakistan’s batting once again collapsed under pressure, despite Babar Azam’s 68 runs. Bangladesh’s bowlers dismissed the visitors for just over 230 to secure a crucial 46-run lead in the first innings.

Bangladesh then had a brilliant second innings led by veteran Mushfiqur Rahim and posted a stunning 137 runs while Litton Das scored another valuable 69 runs. The hosts finally set a huge target of 437 runs for Pakistan on a tough Day 5 match.

Pakistan captain Shan Masood, Babar Azam and a brilliant 134-run partnership between Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha showed resistance in the chase. Rizwan narrowly missed a century with 94 runs while Salman scored 71 runs.

However, Bangladesh spinner Tejul Islam proved decisive as he took 6/120 in the second innings and took 9 wickets in the match as Pakistan were bowled out for 358 runs. Bangladesh achieved a perfect series win by 78 runs.
