MILAN — Amber Glenn shared an optimistic message hours after a poor performance in the women’s short program that may have kept her out of medal contention at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

Glenn is a highly regarded member of the U.S. Blade Angels and a strong medal contender in women’s singles skating. She started off strong with three and a half weeks in the short program. However, she exceeded the original triple cycle and was judged to be an invalid event and received no points.

Not scoring was a hard blow for her, and Glenn left the ice emotional, understanding what was happening. Her score of 67.39 placed her in 13th place, essentially out of medal contention.

After the event, Glenn did not speak to reporters as skaters typically do after receiving their scores. Glenn still has a free skate on Thursday, February 19th.
