All-Big East guard entering transfer portal, per report

Guard KJ Lewis plans to enter the transfer portal for the second straight offseason, according to On3’s Joe Tipton. Lewis spent the 2025-26 season with the Georgetown Hoyas, leading the team in points (14.9), rebounds (5.1) and steals (2.1) while averaging 2.5 assists per game.

The Hoyas were 16-18 overall and 6-14 in the Big East, and although they defeated DePaul and Villanova in the conference tournament, they lost to UConn in the semifinals. Lewis missed the Big East Tournament with an ankle injury that caused him to miss the final six games of the season.

Lewis began his career with the Arizona Wildcats, entering the program as a four-star recruit in the 2023 class. He contributed early, posting 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds as a freshman before rising to double-digit scorer status as a sophomore in 2024-25.

The 6-foot-4 forward was a key backup as the Wildcats advanced to the Sweet 16 as the fourth seed.

After the season, Lewis entered the transfer portal and chose to transfer to the Big East. He started 27 of Georgetown’s 28 games, averaging 30 minutes per game and becoming the team’s best offensive and defensive player.

He will now look for his third program, where he still has one season of eligibility remaining.
