The 2025 NFL season has entered Week 16, and Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix has earned a 57.0 rating in ESPN’s “Overall Quarterback” rating, ranking 14th among 32 starting quarterbacks. Nix’s traditional passer rating is 89.0.
Unlike traditional passer ratings, quarterback totals “include all of a quarterback’s contributions to victory, including how he impacted the game through passing, rushing, turnovers and penalties,” according to ESPN.

The metric takes into account scenarios that traditional passer ratings ignore and considers “a team’s level of success or failure on each play to provide proper context, then allocate credit to the quarterback and his teammates for a clearer measure of a quarterback’s efficiency.”
With that context in mind, let’s take a look at how Nix compares to the NFL’s other starting quarterbacks in Week 17 of the 2025 season.
