Agee’s 17 point, 10 rebound double-double helps Texas A&M beat Ole Miss 80-77, snap four-game skid

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Rashawn Aggie had 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Zach Clemens and Marcus Hill scored 14 points apiece and Texas A&M erased a 13-point second-half deficit and snapped a four-game skid with an 80-77 win over Mississippi State on Wednesday night.

Mississippi State (11-15, 3-10 SEC) has lost four straight games by double digits and has now lost eight in a row.

Ruben Dominguez had 13 points and five assists for Texas A&M (18-8, 8-5).

AJ Stoll shot 16-for-21 from the field in the second half and Malik Dia left the game with an apparent ankle injury with 3 minutes left in the game. The Rebels scored 20 points on 10-for-14 shooting. Ilias Kamardine scored 12 points and Patton Pinkins scored 11 points.

With 11 minutes and 46 seconds left in the game, Dia dunked and Ole Miss took its largest lead of the game at 63-50. He then dunked again, extending the lead to 10 points with 7:06 left in the game. Texas A&M ended the game on a 19-6 run and held the Rebels scoreless in the final 3 1/2 minutes. Dominguez hit a three-pointer, a three-pointer, three free throws, and a three-pointer. Clemens scored six points and the Aggies scored the final four.

Texas A&M shot 61% in the second half (19 points on 31 shots).

The Aggies’ driving layup with 1:58 left capped a 10-2 run and gave the Aggies a 78-77 lead, their first since 18-17.

The Rebels scored a season-high 23 fast-break points and scored 20 points off 13 turnovers.
