Police in Minnesota have arrested a man who allegedly stole a three-legged dog from a woman he met on a dating app.
Akhil Miriala Charged with theft and stalking in connection with the incident, US Weekly Confirmed with police.
Miriala, of Minneapolis, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 19, where he may be asked to enter pleas to the felony charges he faces.
Miryala, 27, allegedly used an unspecified dating app to match up with a woman in February and the pair even went on two dates.
However, two dates were enough for the woman to realize that Miriala was not for her, and she told him that a relationship was impossible.

Miriala allegedly couldn’t take “no” for an answer and began contacting the woman on social media. He also flooded her phone with calls and text messages.
Then, on March 9, Bloomington police received a call from a distraught woman who said someone had broken into her home and stolen her dog, a three-legged coon hound-Labrador retriever mix named Oriana.
She told police that video from her doorbell camera showed Miriala at her home multiple times that day alone.
Around 7 p.m., he was again caught on camera on the front steps of his home trying to lure the puppy away with treats and human food.
When police arrived at the victim’s residence, Miriala allegedly called the victim and initially denied taking the dog, but he eventually admitted he had Oriana.
At the same time, police on the scene monitored the ongoing conversation between Miriala and the victim. They allegedly heard him claim he looked up the woman’s address online and frequently visited her home, even seeing her from a distance in the backyard with another man.
Miriala allegedly called or texted the victim 30 to 40 times in the two weeks after his arrest. He also said he created a fake number to call her.

Attempts to contact Miriala’s attorney for comment on Tuesday, March 17, were unsuccessful.
