Well, given its size, the ballroom’s architect, Shalom Baranes, said they are considering adding a floor to the west wing.

He told officials on the National Capital Planning Commission, “As a result, the White House is considering the idea of a modest, single-story addition to the west wing colonnade that would help restore a sense of symmetry around the original central pavilion. It will be considered part of the future master plan framework and will be presented at a future hearing.”
