He made his Super League debut in September. Due to injuries to the team this season, he has seized the opportunity and scored in the past three games in all competitions.

“I’m getting a lot more game time than I expected at the beginning of the year, but as long as I’m playing I’m happy,” he told the club website.

“I have to stay diligent and diligent and if you deserve it you will get there eventually. That’s what I’ve been telling myself and pushing myself to do since I joined the club.”

Saints manager Paul Rowley said: “It’s fantastic news for the club to have another youngster come through our development conveyor belt.”
