The UConn Huskies entered the 2026 NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East Region after losing by 20 points to St. John’s University in the Big East Tournament finals.

However, ignore Dan Hurley’s tournament pedigree at your own peril, as nearly all the Huskies have done over the past few seasons is win and cover. After easy wins over No. 15 Furman and No. 7 UCLA, the Huskies defeated No. 3 Michigan State 67-63 and beat No. 1 Duke 73-72 on Braylon Mullins’ magical 3-pointer in the final second.

Despite ending as a 1.5-point underdog in Saturday night’s Final Four game against Illinois, UConn led for much of the game before holding on to beat Illinois 71-62.

For one DraftKings bettor, that means another UConn win would bring a $1 million bonus.

The bettor placed a $77,000 bet on the Huskies to beat the Nets at 13-1 odds, winning $1,001,000. This is the largest remaining liability in futures betting reported by legal U.S. sportsbooks.

UConn will be an underdog against either No. 1 Arizona or No. 1 Michigan in the national championship game, but bet on the Huskies at your own risk. UConn has gone 18-1 in its past 19 tournament games under Hurley.

One bettor is definitely backing the Huskies to win one more game.
