Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was originally released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in January 2024, and came to Windows via Steam last August. Now, Ubisoft is ready to bring the action-adventure game to mobile users. It will be available to both Android and iOS users next month. The French developer has revealed the price of the mobile version of the game and confirmed the features players can expect on the platform.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown mobile version price, availability
According to a press release issued by Ubisoft, the mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be priced at €14.99 (approximately Rs. 1,400) in select global markets. The company added that the game will be available for sale at a special launch price of €9.99 (roughly Rs. 900) for the first three weeks starting April 14.
Both Android and iOS users can play the game on their smartphones or tablets. Pre-registration for the mobile version of the game is currently open via the App Store and Play Store. Interested players will be able to experience the game’s introduction for free.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Mobile Features
Ubisoft Danang Studio has revealed that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been optimized for mobile phones. The mobile version of Metroidvania will allow players to play the game offline. It supports frame rates up to 60fps (frames per second), ensuring a smooth gaming experience “on recent generations” of phones.
In addition to external controllers, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown mobile players can use touch controls to navigate the game. With full control over remapping options and touch control customization, players will be able to change the size, position, and transparency of various control inputs in the game.
The mobile version of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown comes with auto-potions, auto-parry, slowdown options, and other mobile-specific quality-of-life features. Accessibility features like Wanderer’s Eye allow players to take screenshots and pin them to the map as a visual reminder. Other optional accessibility elements, such as adaptive difficulty for enemy encounters and platforming assistance, are also available on the mobile version.
Set in the mythical world of Kaf Mountain, players take on the role of Sargon, a young Persian warrior from the “Immortals” organization who is dedicated to rescuing the kidnapped Prince Ghassan and helping “restore balance to the cursed land.”
