Last year, Wawa opened its first Ohio location in Liberty Township and is now expanding into the Greater Cincinnati area.
Since 2025, the Pennsylvania-based gas station and dining destination has opened nearly a dozen stores in the Greater Cincinnati area, including its newest location in Liberty Township, which will open on March 12. Another store will also open in White Oak sometime this year.
Wawa expects to open 60 stores in Ohio over the next five to eight years, so the Wawa craze is expected to continue. So, how many Wawasans are there in Greater Cincinnati? Where are they located?

Dolls flock to Freetown again
The newest Wawa coming to Greater Cincinnati is a complete moment. The gas station convenience store is expanding in the area where it first expanded in Ohio in April 2025: Liberty Township.
The newest Liberty Township store marks the first of Wawa’s newly designed stores in the Midwest market, which includes a “Fly Thru” pickup lane, according to a news release. Customers can order and pay ahead of time on the Wawa app, then pick up their order without leaving their car.
The gas station chain is offering free coffee until March 15. The first 100 customers will also receive a free T-shirt. This is the time the location is open.
