CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Cher’s son was arrested Friday for displaying challenging behavior at a private high school in New Hampshire to which he has no connection, police said.

Elijah Allman, 49, was charged with four misdemeanors: two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing and criminal threats. Allman, whose father is the late Greg Allman, was also charged with disorderly conduct, which is illegal in the state but is not considered a crime.

At about 7 p.m. that night, Concord police responded that Allman was harassing others in the St. Paul School cafeteria. After charges were filed against Allman, he was released on bail and the case was working its way through the court system, police said.

There is no attorney information for Allman in court records.

Representatives for Cher could not immediately be reached. St Paul’s School declined to comment.

The investigation is ongoing.
