Spring Training Game Thread #2/3: Milwaukee Brewers (0-1) @ Chicago White Sox (2-0)/vs. Kansas City Royals (1-1)

After losing to the Guardians on Saturday afternoon, the Brewers made a comeback in their first split day of the spring. The visiting Brewers will face the Chicago White Sox in Glendale, while the home team welcomes the Royals at American Family Field in Phoenix.

In the road lineup, Joey Ortiz bats first as DH, followed by Andrew Vaughn, Akil Baddoo and Tyler Black. Jefferson Quero makes his spring debut behind the plate, followed by top prospect Jesús Made at second base. Top prospect Cooper Pratt started at shortstop, Luke Adams at third and Luis Lara in sequence in right field.

Logan Henderson starts on the mound, with right-handers Carlos Rodriguez and Peter Strzelecki also scheduled to pitch behind him.

In the home game, Jackson Chourio batted first and started in left, followed by Gary Sánchez at DH. William Contreras batted third and started behind the plate, followed by Brice Turang, Sal Frelick and Jake Bauers. New Brewers pitcher Luis Rengifo started at third base in his seventh at-bat, followed by center fielder Blake Perkins and short baseman Jett Williams.

Robert Gasser will start for the home team, as will left-handers DL Hall and Tate Kuehner.

The first game on the road against Chicago is scheduled for 2:05 pm (CT), and the home game against Kansas City is scheduled to start at 2:10 pm CT. This road game is also Milwaukee’s first spring game to be broadcast live on Brewers TV, which is free to watch (even in areas without power). The road game will be televised on 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee and the Brewers Radio Network across the state.
