“I have been at Arsenal for the past five years and have played at all age groups from under-15s to under-21s,” Oyetunde said.
“I chose Fort Wayne because I believe it’s the right next step in my career because it’s men’s soccer in a great league. This new program is exciting and I can’t wait to get started.”

Oyetunde spent time on loan at St Albans City earlier this season but struggled to get playing time back at Arsenal. He hopes a move across the Atlantic will allow him to play regular football in 2026.
Fort Wayne, which has competed in the USL Division Two since its inception in 2019, this season will move to the USL Division One, which is effectively the third tier of soccer in the United States (although there is no merit-based promotion and relegation system).

Fort Wayne also opened a new soccer-specific stadium for the team, Fort Wayne FC Park, with a game-day capacity of 9,200. They will play their first game on the field on May 2 against the Charlotte Independence.

“Daniel is only 19 years old and his best years are ahead of him,” Fort Wayne head coach Mike Avery said. “He is a quick and tricky attacking player who can slide past defenders. We plan to deploy him out wide and he has shown the ability to create goal danger from both sides.
“Next year will be an exciting time of growth for Daniel, both on and off the court.”
