Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will reportedly be released in November on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. However, according to a recent leak, the military shooter won’t be available on Nintendo Switch 2 at launch. Microsoft has yet to announce an official release date for Black Ops 7. However, the game is confirmed to be unveiled at Opening Light Live at Gamescom on August 19th, where a full reveal will be made.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 release date leaked

Renowned gaming industry leaker Billbil-kun has revealed the release date and pricing for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. In a report published by Dealabs on Friday, the source claimed that the next game in the first-person shooter series will launch on November 14.

According to a leaker, “Black Ops 7” will not be available on Nintendo Switch 2 when it is released. While Activision has stated that it is committed to bringing Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms, there is currently no news about a Black Ops 7 port on the Switch 2. The game is confirmed to be released on PC (via Steam, Xbox PC app, Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.

“Black Ops 7” pricing revealed

The Dealabs report also shares details about Black Ops 7 pricing and physical edition availability. According to reports, the standard version of the game will not be priced at $80. According to the tipster, “Black Ops 7” will be priced at $69.99 (EUR 79.99 in Europe). The Vault version is said to cost $99.99 and €109.99. The tipster said that “Black Ops 7” will be released physically on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4 and PS5.

Finally, the game will reportedly go on pre-order this week, August 20, after being revealed at Gamescom Opening Night Live.

Following the confirmation of Black Ops 7 at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, Activision Blizzard said it was working with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Switch and would share details “when ready.” Amid the long process of Microsoft acquiring the maker of Call Duty in 2023, the company signed a 10-year deal with Nintendo to bring the series to its platform.

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer also said that Microsoft intends to support Switch 2 with its first-party games. Several third-party developers have released their AAA games on the Nintendo Switch 2, a more powerful hybrid console than its predecessor that can run more demanding games. So it’s likely that Call of Duty will be coming to Nintendo’s new console at some point.

In June, Black Ops 7 was teased at the Xbox Game Showcase. The next Call of Duty, developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, marks the first back-to-back Black Ops releases in COD history, following the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 in 2024. The game is set in 2035, more than 40 years after the events of “Black Ops 6”, and players will play David Mason, the protagonist of “Black Ops 2”. A full reveal is expected at Gamescom. Opening Night Live will be broadcast live on August 19 at 8pm CEST (11:30pm IST).
