As we all know, in match play, according to Rule 6.1b, you must play in the correct order (the player furthest from the hole goes first). If you hit the ball out of sequence, your opponent can cancel the shot and make you play again. This happens sometimes. Just ask Annika Sorenstam. In the 2000 Solheim Cup, she had to rematch due to poor performance.
You may not know how to proceed when your opponent hits the ball from outside the tee box. Although this is a rare mistake, golfers who are accustomed to playing from one set of tees may find themselves accidentally returning to the original mark when playing from another set of tees. If they are a blue server, playing on green or white courts, not paying attention can lead to tricky situations in this title.

Let’s start with the fact that if you see your opponent hitting the ball from the wrong tee, the correct thing to do is to try and stop them before he or she hits the ball. You want to win the game, but do you really want to win? That way? But what if you can’t stop that person in time? What if that guy hits the ball out of bounds?
This is where things get interesting. Under Rule 6.1b, you can simply cancel the shot and let your opponent hit it again from the correct teeing ground. However, that person did draw a line. It will be to your advantage if you don’t have to cancel the trip. Can you let your opponent continue the hole after a gaffe?
Of course you can.
Even though it may be embarrassing, you can refuse to cancel your stroke. If you do this, your opponent must now accept a stroke and distance penalty and play again from the wrong tee. To make matters worse, the golfer cannot tee off because he or she is not playing off the tee. This is a situation where you have to give up. Ouch.

The same is true if your opponent tees up before the correct mark and hits the ball in a brutal spot. You can allow the golfer to keep playing or have to drop the ball if it goes out of bounds or is lost.

While you may not win any praise for your sportsmanship, it’s certainly understandable if you apply this rule in a tournament where you can’t afford to lose another hole.
6.1 Starting a Hole 6.1b(1)/1 – A shot from outside the teeing area in match play that is not canceled by the opponent
If the hole is started in match play, Stroke made from outside teeing area has not been cancelled, Rule 6.1b(1)/1 Players are required to play according to where the ball is. However, players may not always be allowed to play where the ball is.
For example, when starting a hole, a player hits the ball out of bounds from outside teeing area (e.g. from a wrong set of tee markings) and opponent Do not cancel Stroke.

Since the player’s Stroke was not canceled and the ball was out of bounds, they must take Itinerary and distance Relief by playing the ball from the previous position Stroke was made. These are the rules of match play, but you may be wondering what happens in stroke play. A player who hits a ball from the wrong tee must correct the error by hitting a ball from the correct tee and is subject to a two-stroke penalty (strokes with the wrong ball do not count). If a player does not correct the error before the start of the next hole, he or she will be disqualified.
