In addition to the previously reported interest in Elie Vahi, Nice’s management are now keeping a close eye on another absentee player from Eintracht Frankfurt. According to L’Equipe, this player is Orel Armenda.
The 22-year-old Cameroon defender can solve the problem of lack of playing time while bringing valuable experience to Nice’s defense. Les Aiglons’ defense is weakened by injuries and a looming absence from the Africa Cup of Nations, making Armenda a sensible target.
However, Nice are not the only club tracking the player. According to an exclusive report by “Africafoot”, Italian team Verona are also paying close attention to the situation of the young centre-back.
Armenda joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Bern’s youth team for €9.5 million but has struggled for playing time this season, playing just 376 minutes in all competitions. His contract with the German club will last until the summer of 2029. Armenda is currently worth about 6 million euros, and his annual salary in Germany is 640,000 euros.
