Placer County Sheriff seeking potential witnesses in ‘fentanyl-related’ homicide case

(FOX40.COM) – The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying the occupants of an SUV, saying they may be able to provide information about a homicide.

The SUV, possibly a Toyota 4Runner or similar, was captured on video in the parking lot of 4415 Granite Drive in Rocklin on Aug. 25 around 3:30 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said the occupants of the vehicle may have witnessed the events leading up to the “fentanyl-related homicide.”

The Sheriff’s Office said contacting the people inside the SUV could be critical to its investigation.

Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
